So the wind is shifting and I know it

I can’t deny the inevitable

The time is coming and I can feel the blows of the storm coming

How much can any of us prepare for it

I know it’s going to hit and hit hard

It will devastate me

It will bring an end to an era

I will reflect and go on

But there will be yet another void

I must fill the emptiness with hope

A resolve to make everything count

So while I wait, I will not fret

My time will one day come as well

So I will live my life with all my heart

Not letting another decide where it goes

For when the day has come and the shades are drawn

The sun will rise again and it will set

It’s the time I spend while I’m here now

That will enable me to leave my mark

And so I will let it count for those who come behind

I want to show the way with no fear

No anger and no fight

Just with all my might I will tell

That I was here to show the way

To show the way while I can still see

Just love while you can still feel it

For tomorrow will come
