Solve a puzzle

I arrange the peices

First I turn them right side up

Then build the border

Then arrange by image or color

Looking intently at the scene

The cardboard box displays

I study- then I search

Up and down my eyes fall

A rhythm is forming

Now imagine I sit in a circle

Everywhere I turn another puzzle

All the hats, all the roles

All of them spilling forth

Their pieces on tables

I sit with one for a while

Then I feel the pull

Of the scenes on the boxes

All those surrounding me

I spin and stop for a while

Then spin again

On and on this goes

Trying to move the needle

It is the human hampster wheel

So truth is telling me

That time is slipping away

So I step out of the circle

I abandon the thicket

That has formed in my mind

I leave this place

And lose myself in the forrest

Touching the bark

My hands reach and touch

The dirt beneath my feet

Well it wakes me up

Again I have fallen asleep

Now I am awake

I breathe the air

Slowly and deeply

I ascend a boulder

Rest on my haunches

Like a wolf I percieve my surroundings

The moon rises high above me

And I find I am hungry

I throw my head back and howl

And the sound of it breaks through me

I spend the night on a quest

I follow my heart

Never to retrun to this place

In space, in time

……………………………………………………………

Now the sun rises

I smile to myself

I have returned to my wild

I go back home

I walk in and see

The circle of puzzles

And the spinning chair within

And the light of the breaking sun

It slips through the window

And it touches one puzzle

I grab it and I sit with it

All the other ones

Well they fade into the background

I can not hear them all calling me

Just this one

For this moment in time

And I will wait with it

I will give it the time it needs

To becomes the image

A reflection

A completion

The chaos retreats

Ahh, one thing at a time

So much to do

So little time

As they say

And who are they

And who am I

Tis the great mystery

Brick by brick

I build

The answers are out there

Ready to be worked out

And worked in
