Underneath the sunrise she dances
Twirling and bowing
The dancer frees herself
In solitude she is never alone
She has her songs
She feels the music calling to her
Spinning across the floor
Rising her hands to the sky
She expresses her inner being
Who can know the power of this release
Surely she knows it
For when times are joyous
She dances
When times are hard
She dances
The mind perceives
The body feels the conclusion
And when the emotions rise
Her body moves with fluidity
Underneath the sky
In the field of dreams
Dreams that have died
And dreams yet to be born
She dances
Alone she finds the freedom
To feel joy and pain
This is life
To know what to do with it
This is wisdom
So dance
Dance for gratitude
Dance for healing
Dance, dance, dance
Until the tears pour down your face
Until the laughter comes
As you release yourself to embrace
All that life is
There is more beyond these shores
A thin veil separates us
Time and space we know
Limitless and expansiveness
Is yet to come
When you reach the summit
Of the mountain you have had to climb
Remember the dancer
She will be dancing
To remember, to express, to believe
She will be in the place that dancers find
In the threshold of eternity
That is where the light of love is
Shine down oh sun
You are rising higher in the sky
While the climber strains to reach the summit
And he finds the door to the other side
It will be his joy to enter in
While the dancer cannot follow him
She can dance until it is her time to climb
To reach the door to eternity
Where she will laugh
While tears pour down her face
To be greeted by those who have gone before
In the meantime
She will dance
Under the light of the moon
Under the sun
She will dance
